Dr Jane Boden
Who knew you’d love the glittery nails
A rebellion to the your work
From turquoise to purple, pink to blue
The NHS I’m sure would go berserk
That very first day I met Jane
I knew right from the start
She’d be my friend, my confident, my advisory
And she took her place in my heart
Through her treatments, illness and the pain she had
She always remained on top form
Her ability to get on with living her life
Seemed to be way off the norm
Our time together was always upbeat
Although some days we did share some tears
I truly believed in her strength to fight
I’d give anything to get back our years
I’ll always be thankful for the time we shared
How fate and my work bought us together
We were an unlikely duo that were just meant to be
She’ll remain in my heart forever
Sleep well my friend, no more suffering and pain
Your time to rest is now
But listen for your name, I’ll shout it real loud
We will meet again somehow.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
